Soup bowl from the Gien manufacture still in production today. The decoration is called 'Grains de Riz' and was created around 1750 when it was still produced by the 'Pont aux Choux' manufactory, a name derived from a bridge in Paris. The company used this characteristic 'grain of rice' design to decorate its porcelain.
The bowl comes complete with a plate and is cream-coloured.
Diameter 27 cm with handles, opening 22 cm while the plate is 33 cm in diameter.
