Silver Gallia Milk Jug

Alfenide silver milk jug, white 'silver' alloy for domestic use. Its composition is: copper 59%, zinc 30%, nickel 10%, iron 1%. It was created by the inventors Charles Halphen & frères, French chemists and goldsmiths of the 19th century and was later acquired by Christofle in 1880 and named "Orfèvrerie Gallia".
