Ensemble Saint-Cricq Casaux

Rare ensemble de toilette made up of 3 elements with an all over polychrome decoration of imaginary and fantastic flowers in the style of Jean-Baptiste Pillement (1728-1808), an artist who greatly influenced the taste of the period with his chinoiserie prints.

The brand is from the Saint-Cricq Casaux factory in Creil, which merged with Montereau in 1840. We can date this porcelaine opaque to the first half of the 19th century, in any case before 1839, the year in which the manufactory was awarded its second gold medal.

The condition is excellent despite the fact that it is almost two centuries old, so we can call it a museum piece.
